We are partnering with an industry leader in snack food manufacturing to find an exceptional Vice President of Engineering! Renowned for their diverse range of baked goods and snacks, this company is dedicated to upholding quality and tradition while driving innovation. As the VP of Engineering, you’ll be at the helm of the engineering function, shaping its structure and impact. Your leadership will guide both annual and long-term capital expenditure planning, ensuring strategic alignment and seamless execution of capital projects. This pivotal role involves implementing equipment and processes, fostering innovation, and building strong collaborations with internal teams and external partners.
Role:
- Oversee and administer capital expenditure plans, ensuring accountability and efficient tracking of investments.
- Lead capital projects from start to finish, achieving on-time and on-budget results while partnering with cross-functional teams.
- Develop and manage the annual engineering budget, focusing on manufacturing and process enhancements.
- Champion new manufacturing technologies, streamline processes, and spearhead cost-saving initiatives through lean practices.
- Direct and develop the Plant, Project, Packaging, and Controls Engineering teams across multiple plants.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (MBA preferred).
- Ten+ years of experience in food manufacturing.
- Proven track record of progressive leadership in engineering roles.
- Extensive expertise in capital project management, plant equipment, and food manufacturing processes.
- Strong strategic vision and skills in leadership, team building, and change management.
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, optimize efficiency, and deliver cost-saving results.
- Willingness to travel (up to 25%).
